Malabar Biomethane Project receives GreenPower Certification
Optimal Renewable Gas applauds Jemena, Sydney Water and all involved for receiving GreenPower accreditation for the production of carbon-neutral gas from the Malabar Biomethane Injection Plant (MBIP). This not only provides verification and validation of the biomethane produced and injected into the network, but it also paves the way for businesses to access renewable gas delivered via existing gas infrastructure.
This milestone demonstrates the increasing development of the bioenergy sector that can convert organic waste and residues to reliable and renewable energy delivered via existing gas infrastructure.
Optimal Renewable Gas is continuing to identify suitable sites in regional New South Wales that could produce up to 1.5 petajoules of biomethane into Jemena’s gas network under an existing Memorandum of Understanding.
